Earlier this month I went the annual auto show in the District for the second time. When attending auto shows as a child, I can remember always wanting to sit in every single car. These days though, I focus more on the photo opportunities instead of just the cars. In fact, I didn't sit in too many cars but took a ton of photographs. As I spent overwhelmingly most of my time in the foreign auto section of the show, almost all these photos in this post except for one represent cars from foreign brands.
Back in 2010, a good friend of mine suggested that I create a blog dedicated to my photography. I thought it would be a fun project so I went ahead and created this blog. Each post with its photos represent a personal inspiration. I hope my visitors enjoy my work.

Une Capitale de l'Amour
Paris the Capitale de l'Amour, mais bien sur... but perhaps Paris isn't the only Capitol de l'Amour out there... Anyways I thought it would be appropriate to post this image today as aujourd'hui is Valentines Day! I was photographing the sun as it set on the Potomac on a fall evening when I captured this image. I used my long telephoto zoom for this shot, framing the couples with the three columns from the Lincoln Memorial. I did crop the image slightly during its post processing treatment. I suppose perhaps this photo could have been better if that one person sitting alone wasn't in the photo but then again there are plenty in the nation's capital who are single ;)

A Presidential Encounter
While I was downtown the other day, the president happened to be at a hotel situated on the corner of 16th and K Streets. I wasn't able to see him leave the hotel and therefore photograph him though. For security reasons obviously, they had constructed a tent around his limousine at the side entrance of the hotel. Another presidential limousine was parked outside in front of the tent. I took the above shot as his limousine was pulling away from the hotel onto the intersection of 16th and K with my 105mm prime. I did crop it a little bit though to have a little more tighter frame. Below are just a few more photos from the encounter.
