Time Out

During my recent trip to New York, I walked across the Manhattan Bridge after spending an afternoon in Brooklyn. As I was arriving into Manhattan, I noticed a field below the bridge a football game was going on. I captured this shot looking down from the bridge.

Tomorrow is Father's Day, so happy Father's Day...

Sunrise on 1833 S Street NW

The goal of this shot was to isolate the building from its surroundings while placing the blue sky in the background. The building is located on S Street in Washington, DC. I have no connection to the building. I was just inspired to capture it one morning when walking on that street.

Well I am back on here again after several months of hiatus. I hope you all didn't miss me.

Takeoff

Good things come to those who wait. To get this shot, it had to be one of those days where the clouds form small clusters in the sky.  I went down to Dupont Circle that day and saw some birds perched on the fountain. I sat inside the empty fountain, waiting... and I then pressed the shutter button on my X100 as soon as one took off.
